Men's Tennis Defeats Diablo Valley College 7-1 to advance to Big 8 Demi-Finals

Solano Dominates Diablo Valley 7-1 in Men’s Tennis Matchup

FAIRFIELD, CA – Solano Community College (SCC) delivered an impressive performance on Thursday, March 13, defeating Diablo Valley College (DVC) 7-1 in a commanding home victory.

The Falcons started strong in doubles play, securing two wins out of three matches. Romelo Felix and JC Espiritu fought hard at the No. 1 doubles spot but fell 4-8. However, Solano’s No. 2 team of Willy Rivera and Theodore Keyser responded emphatically, blanking their opponents 8-0. The No. 3 match was a default win for SCC.

Solano’s dominance carried into Mens singles play, where they took control early and never looked back. Rivera’s match at No. 1 was cut short due to an abandonment, but Felix, Keyser, and Espiritu all cruised to straight-set victories without dropping a game. SCC also picked up default wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.

With the 7-1 victory, Solano continues to build momentum as they look ahead to their next matchup.
