Doubles Matches

SCC fought hard in doubles but managed to secure only one win. The No. 1 pair of Willy Rivera and Brian Wills fell to Spencer Hamilton and Logan Donahue 4-8. At No. 2, Romelo Felix and JC Espiritu secured a thrilling tiebreaker win over Trent Nguyen and Caleb Ion, 9-8(7). The No. 3 pair of Theodore Keyser and Jakob Dato battled but lost 5-8 against Connor Basette and Lucas Borman.

Singles Matches

The singles matches remained highly competitive, with SCC picking up key wins but ultimately falling short.

  • In the No. 1 match, Willy Rivera fell to Spencer Hamilton 1-6, 0-6.

  • Brian Wills pushed his match to three sets but lost to Caleb Ion 4-6, 6-2, 5-7.

  • Romelo Felix fell to Logan Donahue 4-6, 1-6.

  • Theodore Keyser fought hard but lost to Trent Nguyen 6-3, 7-5.

  • JC Espiritu battled against Lucas Borman but fell 2-6, 5-7.

  • Jakob Dato picked up a win for SCC, defeating Connor Basette 7-5, 6-4.

Overall Recap

Despite a close effort, the SCC men's team fell 5-4 in a competitive match. The women’s team faced a tougher challenge,  winning 7-2, and showed resilience in key matchups. Both teams will look to regroup and build on their performances as they continue the season on Friday 3/7.
