Sacramento, Calif. - Sophomore Melanie Fisher set the tone to lead the Solano women's tennis team to a 7-1 win over Cosumnes River on Friday afternoon.

Fisher and freshman Emily Lemus both shut out their competition in singles play. All three doubles teams cruised to wins in scores of 8-3, 8-1, and 8-1.

Solano (1-0) remains on the road, heading to West Valley next on Tuesday, Jan. 28 for a 1 p.m. competition.
