Modesto, Calif. - The Solano women's tennis team headed to the Modesto Tournament, facing nine other community colleges, last week.

Solano faced competitors from Sierra, Modesto, San Francisco, Folsom Lake, American River, Diablo Valley, Reedley, Shasta, and Chabot. The tournament allowed for competing schools to play individual lineup competitions for six singles lines and three doubles lines.

Final Results:
#1 - Sophomore Melanie Fisher won the back-draw after losing her first match against the second seed from Sierra
#2 - Sophomore Yanci Yanez made it to the semifinals of her draw
#3 - Freshman Aleena Edney made it to the semifinals of her draw
#4 - Freshman Sarah Crismon won her first match and lost to the second seed of her draw in the next one
#5 - Freshman Rozell Constantino made it to the semi-finals of her draw
#6 - Freshman LeAnn Wu made it to the finals of her draw.

Fisher/Edney, Yanez/Constantino, Crismon/ Emily Lemus played the #1-3 doubles, respectively, with Yanez/Constantino making it to the semifinals.

Solano (1-2) hosts Foothill next on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m.
