Solano carried that momentum into Women's singles play, delivering straight-set victories across the board. At the No. 1 spot, Soares controlled her match against Wills, winning 6-0, 6-2. Waugh followed suit with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Silva at No. 2.
The Falcons’ dominance continued as Xiong blanked Tolkerson with a 6-0, 6-0 performance at No. 3, while Jones outlasted Munro for a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 4. At No. 5, Angelica Ramirez Barrera sealed the sweep with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Kaylani Payne.
With the clean sweep, Solano improved their record and continued to assert themselves as a top team in their conference. Their next match will present another opportunity to build on this dominant showing.
Solano’s Mens doubles teams got off to a strong start, winning both completed matches by identical 8-4 scores. At the No. 1 spot, Matthew Teasley and Noah Bennett outplayed Shasta’s Romelo Felix and JC Espiritu, while the No. 2 duo of Christian Allen and Noah Puleo took down Marvin Gloria and Jakob Dato. The No. 3 match went to Solano by default.
Flawless Singles Performance
The Falcons carried their momentum into singles, sweeping all four contested matches. At the No. 1 position, Matthew Teasley dominated Willy Rivera with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win. Noah Bennett followed at No. 2, dropping just one game in his 6-0, 6-1 victory over Brian Wills.
At No. 3, Christian Allen controlled his match against Romelo Felix, winning 6-2, 6-2, while Noah Puleo secured another decisive win at No. 4, taking down Theodore Keyser 6-1, 6-1. Shasta forfeited the No. 5 and No. 6 singles spots, giving Solano a full sweep at 9-0.
