Women's Soccer Lands Five on All-BVC Teams; Erbland Named Goalkeeper of the Year

Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman Bailey Erbland was named the Bay Valley Conference (BVC) Goalkeeper of the Year with four other Falcons named to all-conference squads, announced Tuesday.

Freshmen Amber Morales and Ximena Rodriguez were tabbed first team selections, while freshmen Kayla Herman and Dakota Marin were named to the second team.

Erbland played in 15 matches, starting 10, allowing only 15 goals to her 51 saves, to earn six wins. In conference play, she played in 11 matches, starting seven. She only allowed six goals, tallying 32 saves en route to counting five wins, including three shutouts. 

Morales started all 17 matches for the Falcons, tallying five goals and 11 assists. She counted five goals and 10 assists in BVC play with 12 shots, nine on goal.

One of the team captains, Rodriguez played in 17 matches, starting 16 at midfield, with a pair of goals and eight assists. In conference play, she started 12 matches, earning both goals and seven assists  with eight shots on goal.

Herman played in all 19 games, starting 18, with four gaols and two assists, all in BVC play, with a gamewinning goal at Merritt. She was one of the Falcons' team captains.

And Marin finished the 2021 season leading the team in goals with 16 after playing in 17 matches, starting 16. In BVC play, she tallied 13 goals with two assists and 26 shots on goal. She counted two gamewinning goals at Mendocino and against Yuba.

Solano finished the 2021 campaign with an 11-7-1 overall record, 10-3-1 in BVC play.
