Today at the Modesto Classic we went 2-0 with two solid wins.

25-17, 25-22, 25-14

Malia Decelle served 18-18 with 3 aces, 8 kills and 13 digs

Breanna Davis led the defense with 19 digs, served 9-9 

Kelsey Wall added 8 kills

Hannah Del Rio led with 3 blocks, chipped in 2 kills

Lana Johansen led with 3 blocks, chipped in 2 kills

Vanya Paopao served 11-11, 11 assist, 13 digs and chipped in 5 kills.

It was a great competitive match, happy we did enough to win in three sets.  We served tough as a team, and won some battles at the net.  Modesto was very scrappy team.

Next we beat Porterville in three sets: 25-18, 25-11, 25-18

I was happy to be able to get everyone in the match.  Malia Decelle led us on offense with 10m kills, 4 aces and 8 digs.

Vanya Paopao had 21 assist, added 6 kills and served 10-11

Breanna Davis served 16-16 with 3 aces

Lana Johansen led at the net with 3 blocks and chipped in 2 kills

We had four players with 4 kills apiece: Hannah Del Rio, Kelsey Wall, Lili Ayala & Bre Davis

Lexi Vasquez led the defense with 12 digs, serving 9-10 with 2 aces

We was a great way to finish off the week going 4-0.  Next week will be a big challenge participating in the toughest tournament in Northern California.  It is a top elite 16 teams invited to this tournament at Delta College next Thursday and Saturday.
