October Co-athletes of the Month

October Co- Athletes of the Month  Briana Shafer, soccer defender and Breanna Davis volleyball setter.

Briana Shafer, freshman center back who almost single handily relentlessly shuts down all opposing teams attacks with her speed, athleticism and conditioning, 1 v 1 defending skills and plays a big role keeping our back line solid. Has been instrumental in Solano’s shutouts and close games ending in ties by making goal saving play after play. As good as she is defensively, she is just as good offensively by being able to connect passes and build out of the back and she is a big part of our attack with ability to push up the field in the attack. She has an excellent long ball and free kick. Has 2 assists in the month of October. She has also stepped up playing in many games as a goalkeeper and for most of the season has played half of the games as a goalkeeper. She is a team captain and has committed to her academics.
