Solano College Volleyball Earns #9 Seed in NorCal Playoffs, Highest in Program History

FAIRFIELD, CA The Solano College Falcons Volleyball team has achieved a historic milestone in their program's history by securing the #9 seed in the Northern California playoffs of the CCCAA (California Community College Athletic Association). This remarkable achievement has earned Solano College a bye in the first round of the CCCAA playoffs.

The Falcons, with an outstanding overall record of 24-6 and a perfect 12-0 in the Bay Valley Conference (BVC), have soared to new heights under the leadership of Coach Darla Williams. Williams, the BVC Coach of the Year, has steered the team to a remarkable 59 consecutive wins in the Bay Valley Conference and their sixth consecutive Bay Valley championship.

In an eagerly anticipated second-round playoff showdown, the #9 Solano Falcons will play away at #8 seed, Hartnell College, on Tuesday, November 21 at 6 pm. The winner of this game will advance to face off against the winner of the #1 Delta College versus winner(Cabrillo College /Modesto College ) on Saturday, November 25.

Vanya Paopao was named to the All Nor Cal team. Top 12 players of the North are selected from all northern CA teams, and voted in by all head coaches. It is an honor to have a player from our team and conference named to this team.

Vanya had 151 kills, hitting .332% for the season. She has 221 digs, served 371 times with 63 aces at 96%. She leads our team with 480 assist and was just named to the 1st Team All Bay Valley Conference.
