Fairfield, Calif. - Seven Solano women's soccer student-athletes were named California Community College Soccer Coaches Association (CCCSCA) Academic All-State, announced Tuesday.

Freshmen Makenna Boyd, Karla Cardinal, Maya Delgado, Isabella Kelly-Fondersmith, Shelby Nichols, Kristen Richards, and Arielle Valera were tabbed Academic All-State, helping the 2018 Solano women's soccer team's nomination for the state team award for highest GPA with an overall 3.10 GPA.

The majority of the seven are first-year students, who completed 24 units over Summer and Fall 2018.

To be honored as Academic All-State, student-athletes must have completed at least 24 semester or 36 quarter units and hold a minimum cumulative 3.3 GPA.
