Fairfield, Calif. - Sophomore Sterlen Thomas of the men's basketball team has earned the Solano Athletics December Athlete of the Month honor, announced Wednesday.

Thomas had a huge impact on the Falcons in the month of December including nailing a game-winning three to beat Irvine Valley in the Monterey Invitational and scoring a season-high 24 points in the team's conference opener against Yuba. 

He embodies what it means to be a complete student-athlete by serving the community, maintaining a solid GPA, and by being one of the first on the team in the gym each day.
