Fairfield, Calif. - Women's soccer goalkeeper Kirstyn Gottschall and women's volleyball middle blocker Destiny Greenwood have been named the Solano Athletics September Co-Athletes of the Month, embodying the four pillars of Solano Athletics, announced Monday by Falcon Athletic Director Erik Visser.

Gottschall has made a big impact on the women's soccer team as a force as goalkeeper. She leads the state in saves, and she recorded double-digit saves against some of the top teams in the state (15 against Fresno, 18 against Evergreen Valley, and 11 against Cosumnes River).

Greenwood was selected as the first Solano College volleyball student-athlete to be named the CCCWVCA Player of the Week and also earned All-Tournament honors at the Solano Classic. She currently leads the state in kills, and she is second in kills per set.
