Meet the 2024 Hall of Fame Class who will be inducted May 18th

Denisha Lundy-  Womens Basketball 2013.  Denisha was named All-Conference, 3rd Team All State. She was a team Captain, led team in scoring and 3pt field goals, tied program record at time for 3 pointers made in single game(7).  Denisha was voted Player of the Year and recieved a scholarship to Saint Gregory's University, and was the leading scorer junior year, team captain senior year, and  started every game both seasons. Denisha graduated with degree in criminology, and after she graduated police public safety academy she worked as a certified 911 dispatcher for CA. Then switched career to project management and engineering and is currently a project coordinator/engineer.

Taylor Hamilton- Womens Basketball 2012 & 2013   Taylor was a 2 time All-Conference, and a 2nd Team All-State.  At Solano she is  8th all-time single season in assists, and 5th all time career assists.   Taylor earned a scholarship to Our Lady of the Lake University, and was  3 time player of the week, an All tournament player and  the Red River Tournament MVP. 2015 All Red River Conference, and 2015 honorable mention All American. In  2016 she earned Red River conference POY, as well as the 2016 First Team All American, which was the  1st basketball student-athlete to accomplish in OLLU history.  She also received the University's 2016 "Top Saint" for Womens Basketball.  She is currently working as a Water Distribution Operator providing and treating water for local municipals.

Samantha Dean- Volleyball 2009 & 2010    Samantha  earned the 2009 first team All BVC, with a 12-4 BVC conference record.  She played in 88 sets for the season  and was a leader on the team with 205 kills and with 45 blocks.  She was named the 2009 team top offensive player at SCC.  The 2010 team finished with a 14-2 BVC record and 24-6 overall. Sam played in 101 sets , had 217 kills hitting which is a .260%.  She served 160 attempts with 19 aces, and led the team with 26 solo blocks and 32 assist blocks.  Sam earned a  BA from Sac State 2014 in Mass Communications. While at  Del Monte Foods talent acquisition specialist, winning achievement awards 2018,2019,2020 and 2023. 

Allyson Taynton- Volleyball 2009 & 2010-   The 2009 team finished with a 12-4 BVC conference record.  Allyson led with 30 aces, serving at 90 %, and was the top serve recieve passer, with 141 digs on defense.  2010 finished with a 14-2 BVC record and 24-6 overall record and Allyson earned 1st team all BVC and All Tourney at the Solano Classic. She played 100 sets, leading the team with 406 digs, averaging 4.06 per set.  She led the team with 54 service aces, serving 424 times at 91 %, passing an amazing 294 perfect passes with a high of 78% efficiency. She is a 2 year leader in Digs and Aces for Solano College.  She received a BA in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting.

Trevor Matern-  Baseball 2010 & 2011  Trevor was a leader on the field and the team earned a ranking of 3rd in Northern California in 2011.  The team ended the season 29-12 after their apperance at the Super Regionals.  Trevor earned 2011 First team all conference infielder. Led solano batting average .356 47 hits and 13 sacrifices.  Received GPA honors achieving a  3.96.  Transferred to Georgetown university playing 3rd base 2012 & 2013.  Received MBA at Michigan in 2019.  

Victor Romero- Baseball  2010 & 2011  In 2011 Victor earned  First team all conference catcher, 2011 CCCBCA All American.  On the  2011 baseball team with highest ranking  at #3 in Nor Cal. Victor received a scholarship to Oklahoma State.  As a senior, he was an All-Big 12 Conference Second Team selection and a semifinalist for the Johnny Bench Award, given to the top catcher in Division I baseball, as he helped lead OSU to the NCAA Tournament. Romero was also named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team in 2013 and was twice named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Currently Victor is an Assistant baseball coach at OK State.

Mike Morris- Basketball 1990 All BVC Conference honors in 1990.  First  basketball player to receive scholarship (Dickinson State) after the reinstatement of the basketball program at Solano.  All NDAC 1st team and NAIA All American.  In 1995 Mike  played professionally for the Willetton Tigers of Perth, Australia, the Dakota Wizards of the International Basketball Association, the Magic City Snowbears in Minot, South Dakota, and B.K. Klistemburg of Vienna, Austria.

Sherry Clark- Softball 2005-2006  short stop  2005 All Nor Cal, BVC 1st team who hit .474 with team leading 40 RBI's and .951 fielding percentage at short stop. Deans list 2005. In 2006 Sherry was an All State selection, BVC MVP player and led the team with 9 Home runs, 19 doubles, and 5 triples. She was a team captain, while averaging .469 and collecting 63 RBI's.  She received a Division 1 Scholarship to Sacramento State where she had a great softball career.  Sherry coached local travel ball for many years in her community.  The team won BVC championship in 2006 and received a regional berth in 2005 and 2006.

Jessica Kerr- Pitcher Softball 2006 Jessica was the team ace pitcher in the 2006 season where she won the BVC MVP Pitcher of the Conference and was selected to the 2006 All State Softball Team.  The Solano team won the BVC Championship and regional berth on the success of Jessica's pitching.  Jessica signed a NAIA  Scholarship to Lee University in Tennessee, where Jessica continued her pitching career.

Celia President- Solano College Superintendant/President 2016-2024

Celia Esposito-Noy, Ed.D. began her term in January 2016 and will retire June 30, 2024. In 2016, SCC hosted the Fairfield Men’s Pro Challenger Tennis Tournament. It was a perfect opportunity to promote the college’s new tennis program and bring the community to the Fairfield campus. Since 2016, the Fairfield Challenger has welcomed thousands of attendees to SCC during tournament week held every October. We are excited to celebrate Celia for her commitment to student success and her vision and leadership of Solano’s athletic program which has been instrumental in shaping the department's current and future.
