Our student athletic training program continues to grow each year. The students who intern are pursuing athletic training, physical therapy, and/or kinesiology degrees. Students gain hands-on experience under the supervision of the ATC's and Team Physicians. Solano has transferred many students to San Diego State, Sacramento State, San Jose State, Cal State Northridge, Concordia University, Fresno State, and Cal State Fullerton to complete their Athletic Training degrees. 

Sports Medicine/Fitness Science - (Transfer)

Designed to allow students to transfer into baccalaureate programs in Physical Education or related areas with a Sports Medicine emphasis. The broad field of Sports Medicine/Fitness Science includes post-baccalaureate employment opportunities in teaching, athletic training, physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor learning, sports orthopedics, sports podiatry, sports psychology, cardiac rehabilitation, EKG technician, and fitness technician.
