Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman leadoff batter Santiaga Ortega went 3-for-4 with a run in the Falcons' front end 9-5 win over Butte on Tuesday. Solano dropped the second game, 14-11.

On the day, Ortega went 4-for-7 with two runs. 

Freshman Aleya Turner went 2-for-4 in the second game with four RBI, while freshman Alaena Selden posted a 3-for-4 outing with three runs scored and two RBI.

In the circle, freshman Adrianna Montuya was the pitcher of record for both games, throwing a total of 11 innings on the day and recording eight strikeouts.

The Falcons (6-7-1) head to West Valley next for a single contest on Saturday, Mar. 10.
