Fairfield, Calif. - A balanced offensive day by the Falcons led to a pair of run rule wins over Los Medanos, 9-1 (six innings) and 13-0 (five innings) on Tuesday.
Solano scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to close out game one, led by freshman Courtney McGraw's 3-for-4 performance at the plate and freshman Alexa Vavricka's 2-for-4 outing with two runs scored and three RBI.
In the second game, a nine-run fourth inning lifted the softball team. Freshman Alaena Selden recorded the team's lone triple en route to a 2-for-4, two run, two RBI appearance.
McGraw and freshman Adrianna Montuya split the pitching duties, each earning a win, with Montuya throwing a one-hitter and fanning five.
Solano (11-10-1) remains home to host Yuba on Tuesday, Apr. 3 for a doubleheader.
