
Fairfield, Calif. - Sophomore Courtney McGraw racked up three RBI with two hits and a sacrifice fly, but the Solano softball team came up short against Sierra, 6-5, on Thursday afternoon.
McGraw went 2-of-3 on the day, scoring the first run of the game on a double. Sophomore Alaena Selden led all Falcon batters with a 3-of-4 performance, scoring a pair of runs. And sophomore Aleya Turner went 2-of-4 with a double, run, and RBI.
In the circle, sophomore Adriana Montuya (1-1) was charged with the complete-game loss, allowing only three earned runs in the outing.
Solano (2-4) heads to San Joaquin Delta next on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m.
