Softball Drops Doubleheader to Diablo Valley and Feather River

Pleasant Hill, Calif. - The Solano softball team dropped a doubleheader to Diablo Valley, 9-0 (5 innings), and host Feather River, 8-6 (8 innings), on Tuesday afternoon.

Freshman Steele Shumway went 2-for-3 on the day, recording the team's lone hit in the matchup with the Vikings. 

Against Feather River, freshmen Francesca Martinez and Lucia Ramirez each earned two hits, while Ramirez, sophomore Britney Czelusniak, and freshman Danyelle Early each counted a pair of RBI.

Freshman Ari McIntyre (1-2) was charged with the loss against Diablo Valley after throwing two compete, allowing only one run. Sophomore Cecily Kaluza (0-2) was the pitcher of record against Feather River with three runs, only one earned, on 3.2 innings of work.

Solano (1-5) remains on the road, heading to American River for a doubleheader on Thursday, Feb. 13 beginning at 12 p.m.
