Maigin Cunningham, formally known as Maigin Alexander, is a 2003-2004 Solano Community College Alumni. Her numbers were most impressive in league play, where she hit .420 with 12 doubles, four home runs and 30 RBI to go along with a .505 on-base percentage. Coach Terri Pearson-Bloom and Coach Marla Clayton were amazing coaches that helped elevate Maigin’s level up play which led to a scholarship offer by Jacksonville State University in Alabama.

As a junior Maigin Alexander was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s South All-Region Team for her performance in leading the Gamecocks to their first regular season title since 2001. Alexander was named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year. Alexander led the OVC in batting with a .403 average and finished atop the league in hits, doubles and total bases. Her .403 average ranked 35th nationally, while her average of .36 doubles per game was ranked seventh in the country. Alexander finished her senior year earning All-OVC first team honors.

Since 2012, her and her husband located back to Northern California as she started her career as a Deputy Probation Officer. In 2018, Coach Maigin joined the coaching staff at Solano Community College and brings her personal experiences, high energy and hard work ethic to the team.
