Fairfield, Calif. - Freshmen Alex Peppard and Nick Botello both earned two-hit outings, but the Solano baseball team dropped a 5-3 contest to Folsom Lake on Wednesday afternoon.

Peppard finished the game 2-of-4 with a RBI, while Botello went 2-of-3 with a run and a double.

Despite striking out six, sophomore Bobby Meadows (0-1) was charged with the loss after throwing five innings. Sophomore Nik Dodson scattered a pair of hits, while fanning four to hold Folsom Lake scoreless over the next four innings.

The Falcons (3-8) remain home to host American River on Friday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.
