Baseball Edged by Skyline, 8-6

Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman Nathan Jessell led the Solano baseball offense. but the Falcons were edged by Skyline, 8-6, on Tuesday afternoon.

Jessell went 2-for-5 with a double, run, and three RBI. Sophomore Wellington Balsley and freshman Herbie Lane both earned multi-hit games with a pair of hits each. Lane counted a double and RBI on his 2-for-5 performance.

Freshman Jesse Rodriguez (1-1) was charged with the loss after allowing a pair of earned runs late in the game on three innings of work to close the game.

The Falcons (2-5) continue their homestand by hosting Santa Rosa next on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. at Laurel Creek Park.
