Rocklin, Calif. - The Solano baseball team fell in the series opener at Sierra on Wednesday, 6-0.

Freshmen Brandon Herter and Shane Martin both recorded extra base hits with Martin earning a double and Herter stretching out a triple.

On the mound, freshman righty Davis Dunkley (0-2) was charged with the loss, hurling four complete innings with three strikeouts and allowing only two earned runs.

Solano (3-8) resumes the series at Sierra on Friday, May 14. The doubleheader is set to begin at 12 p.m.
