Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano baseball team completed the sweep of Diablo Valley with a pair of wins on Friday afternoon.
The Falcons edged the Vikings, 10-9, in the first game before a 8-0 shutout.
A four-run sixth inning lifted Solano in the first game, led by three key wild pitches by the Vikings. Freshman Shane Martin with 3-for-4 to lead the Solano battery and adding a pair of stolen bases.
Freshman Kyle Boll (1-0) earned the win for the Falcons on the mound, coming in relief in the fifth inning and fanning three.
In the second game, freshman Anthony Corralles went 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI. Freshman Brandon Herter went yard with freshman Dimitri McLen earning the team's only other extra base hit with a double.
Freshman David Reckers (1-0) counted the win, throwing a two-hitter on five innings pitch, while fanning six.
Solano (7-9) wraps up the 2021 season with a three-game series at Marin. The first game is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26 for a 2:30 p.m. first pitch.
